Dinnerware Safety:
- Black Timber, Mint Speck, Sage Gloss, and Aqua Gloss are dinnerware safe when used according to the manufacturer’s directions.
- Green Jasper and Milk Glass are not dinnerware safe due to surface durability, however, can be used on the outside of a dinnerware surface, below the lip line.
- Sparkle Black Engobe and Terracotta Engobe are dinnerware safe with clear glaze or another glaze that creates a sealed and chemically durable finish.
- All glazes are AP Non-Toxic when used according to manufacturer’s directions.
- While the glazed surface may pass lead & cadmium leach tests, and therefore legally considered Food Safe, some glazes, regardless of surface texture or porosity of the underlying clay body, will be designated as not suitable for dinnerware as the fired glaze surface is not durable and can be impacted by contact with food or liquids. No dinnerware safe glazes may be used on the outside of a mug, below the lip line, or on a decorative surface.
